Two men arrested after stabbing in Wigan

Two men have been arrested after another man was stabbed in Wigan.

Police were called to the incident in Longton Road, Hindley, at about 3.15pm on Monday (January 4).

Officers say a man was approached by two other men armed with knives before being stabbed.

He was taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

Two men, aged 18 and 20, have now been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault.

The pair remain in police custody for questioning.
