Two men were arrested after an Everton match was stopped temporarily due to pitch invaders.
Police took two men into custody during Everton's Premier League match against Newcastle on Thursday night.Merseyside Police were made aware of a man disrupting the match at Goodison Park.
The man ran onto the pitch and tied himself to the goal post at the Howard Kendall Gwladys Street End. Now, a 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of pitch encroachment and was taken into police custody.
The game continued after a short delay, with Alex Iwobi scoring the winning goal in the 99th minute of play. A second man, 39, was also arrested on suspicion of assault and of pitch encroachment and taken into police custody.

After just one Premier League victory since Arsenal until tonight, the Blues just had to find any way possible to secure the three points and somehow against all the odds they did just that.
