Two lucky Lanarkshire children could become toy testers for Santa

East Kilbride shopping centre is looking for two children willing to take on one of the world’s toughest jobs and become official toy testers for Santa.

To help the elves get everything sorted for the big day and ensure the sleigh is packed with all the right toys, Santa has asked EK, East Kilbride and The Entertainer to find two toy testers willing to provide their recommendations.

The two important positions will only suit youngsters unafraid to put this year’s must have toys through their paces in an after-hours testing session at The Entertainer toy shop on Tuesday, December 13.

Payment comes in the form of an early Christmas gift, with each toy tester receiving a £50 gift card for The Entertainer.

The job comes with a lot of responsibility and only youngsters who love playing with toys every minute of the day need apply. If you know someone who may be up for the task then visit EK, East Kilbride’s Facebook page pop their name and age in the comments.

The closing date for applications is midnight on Wednesday, December 7 when Santa will pick two winners from his red hat.

Beat off the competition to put this year’s top toys under the microscope at The Entertainer toy store in EK, East Kilbride (EK East Kilbride)

A spokesperson from EK, East Kilbride said: “Toy testing is a hugely important job, but great fun too. Our two winners will be expected to play with all of this year’s top toys, with their final report delivered to Santa when he visits his EK grotto at the weekend.”

Santa will welcome the good boys and girls of East Kilbride to his new forest grotto in Centre West every weekend in December and from December 22 to 24.

There is no charge to visit Santa but visitors are encouraged to make a donation to EK charity Kilbryde Hospice.
