Two Leinster players isolating due to Covid ahead of Montpellier tie

Leinster have revealed that currently two of their squad are in isolation due to Covid-19 - one as a close contact - ahead of Sunday's RDS Arena clash with Montpellier.

It is still not certain that the Champions Cup third round pool encounter will go ahead following Covid cases in the Top 14 club's camp last week that caused the postponement of their fixture with Toulon.

However Leinster, following the latest round of PCR testing in their own squad yesterday, are pressing ahead with preparations as they hope to play their first game since the December 11 pool victory against Bath at the Aviva Stadium.

The Blues should be close to full strength after a period that saw Covid spread through the camp and Johnny Sexton and Jack Conan are fit and available after injury.

Unfortunately for Dan Leavy, who has endured such a hard time of it with injury in recent years, another period on the sidelines awaits.

The flanker underwent a procedure to stabilise a wrist facture last week and is out for at least two months.
