Two Irish lotto players hit with double blow after identical luck in jackpot draw

Two Lotto players from Dublin and Tipperary will share a Lotto prize of €152,666 after matching 5 numbers and the bonus in the main Lotto draw.

Both players were just one number away from winning the midweek jackpot which was worth €5,062,488.

Not only did the ticket holders miss out on the top prize narrowly, they will also have to split the second prize although they can't complain too much as they claim €76,333 each after their Wednesday night wins.

The Dublin winner purchased their Normal Play ticket in the Post Office at the Centra shop in Neilstown Shopping Centre in Dublin 12 on 20th February.

The winner from Tipperary purchased their Quick Pick ticket at the SuperValu in Poppyfields Retail Park in Clonmel on 23rd February.

The Lotto numbers from last night’s draw (Wednesday 24th February) were: 02, 10, 12, 13, 38, 40 and the bonus number was: 17.

While there was no winner of last night’s €5,062,488 Lotto jackpot, there were more than 85,000 players who won prizes. This Saturday’s Lotto jackpot (27th February) will roll to an estimated €5.5 million.
