Two including college student held for drug peddling in Punjab's Amritsar

AMRITSAR: Police have arrested two persons including a college student in Punjab's Amritsar and recovered 275-gram heroin from their possession.

Giving details, Station House Office (SHO) Cantonment police station Khushboo Sharma informed that police had arrested Harjinder Singh Kala and Arshdeep Singh alias Arshi at a naka and recovered 275 gram of heroin from their possession.

Arshi was a first-year student of Khalsa College of Amritsar and was allegedly involved in drug peddling along with Harjinder Singh who was his relative.

She further informed that Arshi was a soft target for the drug peddler and used to be their face while making deals of the contraband in commercial quantity.

Arshi was sent into judicial custody while police had got two days remand of Harjinder.
