Two houses in Risca have windows smashed by a rock and a brick in one evening

Two houses in Risca had rocks and bricks thrown through windows on the same evening.

Gwent Police said the incidents happened on Grove Road and New Park Road in Risca on the evening of Monday, October 5.

The first occurred on Grove Road at about 10.50pm and was caught on CCTV, a police spokesperson said.

Three people, two in masks, can be seen approaching the gate of the property before one pelts a window with a rock.

The glass is seen to shatter in the window frame before the three individuals make their escape from the area.

A second incident happened 10 minutes later less than a mile away on New Park Road.

Officers said a brick was thrown through the window of a house but no CCTV was released of the incident.

Gwent Police said there have been no injuries reported.
