Two men have been arrested after officers carried out morning raids in Manchester - discovering drugs and weapons in their searches.
Police descended on two properties at around 9am this morning, September 30, officers carried out the raids and seized a CS canister and a stash of Class A drugs.

At an address on Aston Avenue, Fallowfield, a 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs. He remains in police custody for questioning.
On Gascoyne Street, Rusholme, a 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of Section 5 Firearms Act and possession of class B drugs. He remains in police custody for questioning.
Yesterday's warrants formed part of Operation Lance - a focused day of action aimed at tackling crime across Manchester.
Chief Inspector Stephen Wiggins, of GMP’s Central Manchester Neighbourhood Division, said: “The arrests so far today are an example of effective policing in order to prevent and reduce crime, and keep people safe.
"If we don't take weapons and drugs off the streets, there is potential for all kinds of harm to be unleashed across the area we live and work in.
“I hope that today’s actions offer some reassurance to local residents that officers are here to fight for issues that concern them most."
