The Houston Texans made a shocking move Wednesday when they decided to place linebacker Zach Cunningham on waivers.
The 27-year-old led the NFL in tackles last season with 164. Playing in a linebacker-friendly scheme such as the Tampa 2 under Lovie Smith seemed like a natural fit for Cunningham. However, it just never manifested and Cunningham was dinged with disciplinary issues with Week 13 being the latest as he was benched and missed out on the 31-0 shutout at the hands of the Indianapolis Colts.
