Ohio Sate got a huge commitment again in the wide-receiver room with the announcement of 4-star 2021 target Marvin Harrison, Jr. He took to Twitter today to confirm the news, and things took off from there.
Here’s a look at some of the best Twitter reactions to Harrison committing to the Buckeyes. Speaking of which, do the Buckeyes have the market covered on Harrisons now or what. They have linebacker Malik Harrison, defensive end Zach Harrison, and now Marvin Harrison, Jr. appears to be on the way.
It must be good to be a Harrison. Come to think of it, yes. Yes it is.
First, of course we had the announcement that started everything. Harrison Jr.’s Tweet itself.
News traveled quick. You can always count on the Arrogant Ryan Day Twitter account to chime in on these sorts of things. There’s never a bad time to stick it to TTUN.
Folks in Pennsylvania were not happy about the news. With Harrison Jr hailing from St. Joseph’s Prep in Philadelphia, the best wide-receiver in the Keystone State has now sided with Ohio State rather than Penn State or any other school in Pennsylvania. Sorry. Not sorry.
Of course you can always expect a BOOM! Tweet from Ohio State’s Assistant Athletic Director of Player Personnel Mark Pantoni to clue you into some big news occurring. Boom! indeed.
Next … Continued. Dads, recruits, and former Buckeyes
You also had to love Gee Scott, father of Ohio State 2020 wide-receiver commit Gee Scott, Jr. This says it all. Brian Hartline has to be on cloud nine with all the talent he’s bringing in.
And how about a little love from Capital Hill? Former Ohio State wide-receiver Anthony Gonzalez is now an Ohio Representative in Congress and took note of the news.
Okay, now time to troll Michigan. First, there was optimism that the Wolverines actually had a shot to land Harrison, Jr. back in January.
Now, this today …
It wouldn’t be a big Ohio State commitment without former Buckeye players chiming in. Here’s a congratulatory Tweet from the Saints Michael Thomas.
And of course, some fellow Ohio State wide-receiver recruits had to get in on the act. Here’s the nation’s No. 1 WR recruit for the 2020 class that’s already committed to the Buckeys, Julian Fleming, also out of Pennsylvania.
