After years of speculation about whether it could or would happen, Jake Paul and Nate Diaz have finally agreed to terms on a boxing match that will unfold Aug. 5 in Dallas.

Following his UFC departure late last year, Diaz’s next move is now confirmed in the form of an eight-round boxing showdown with Paul will be contested at 185 pounds this summer.

The reaction to the news was mixed, with fellow fighters both expressing their excitement and disappointment with the booking.
