Twitter reacts to Anthony Johnson’s comeback KO of Jose Augusto in Bellator 258 return

Anthony Johnson made a successful return to competition on Friday when he beat Jose Augusto in the Bellator 258 co-main event.

After his originally planned light heavyweight grand prix semifinal with Yoel Romero fell apart, Johnson (23-6 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) dispatched of late replacement Augusto (7-3 MMA, 1-1 BMMA) with a second-round knockout win, marking his first triumph in an MMA fight since August 2016.

With the performance, “Rumble” advances to the tournament semifinals, where he’ll meet champion Vadim Nemkov in a title fight.
