Twitter launches huge redesign - but it's missing THIS highly requested feature

In the hopes of making its platform faster and easier to use, Twitter has launched a huge redesign this week.

The redesign is the first in seven years, and includes a range of new features as well as updates to existing ones.

In a blog announcing the update, Twitter said: “Today is a big step as we continue building Twitter to best serve the people who use it every day.

“This update also gives us a much stronger foundation to build on so we can continue to bring you updated features faster than before.”

The Explore tab, which was previously only available on the app, has been brought into the desktop version, allowing users to find live videos and local moments more easily.

Meanwhile, Bookmarks, Lists and your Profile have been moved into a new spot on the side navigation, making them more accessible from the main feed.

Direct Messages have also been tweaked, allowing you to see your conversations and send messages from the same view.

Other updates include two new Dark Mode options, and an easier way to switch between accounts.

However, Twitter users have been quick to flag that one key feature is still missing - the ability to edit tweets.

One user tweeted: “Twitter will redesign the entire site and make it ugly, but won’t give us an edit button.”

Another wrote: “Edit button please. Get rid of the Nazis, please. Twitter: NO, here's this new, awkward Twitter no one asked for.”

And one added: “Woah, what's this? An edit button? Nope. Keep dreaming.”
