Twilight star Peter Facinelli and partner Lily Anne Harrison welcome first baby together

Peter Facinelli and Lily Anne Harrison have celebrated the arrival of their first child together.

The couple announced the brilliant news on their social media channels, writing: "Happy 'Labor' Day. Sept 5th, 2022." Alongside the caption, they shared a sweet black-and-white image of the newborn grasping daddy's finger.

While it is the 48-year-old Twilight actor's fourth child, it it the first for The Vanished star, 33. Peter shared Luca, 25, Lola, 19, and Fiona, 15, with his ex-wife Jennie Garth.

Following the announcement, a flurry of congratulatory messages were posted in the comments section of the pair's Instagram posts. Among those leaving well wishes was Lily Anne's sister, model Kate Harrison, who gushed: "Love you three !!"

While the happy couple are yet to reveal the gender or name of the child, Gotham actor Drew Powell may have gave away the secret, writing: "Yeahhhhhh!!!! Welcome to the world little Pete!"

The new parents first announced they were expecting a new addition to the family in June when Lily took to Instagram to share a snap of her baby bump. She captioned the post: "Not a burrito belly," and continued giving her fans glimpses of her progress in the months that followed.

Peter and Lily's relationship began in 2016, before they got engaged in 2019. They are yet to tie the knot, but explained in an interview with People that there was no rush and the pandemic had played a part in the lack of wedding rings to date.

Peter said in the chat last October: "I want [our wedding] to be in a world where there's no masks."

The 13 Minutes actor added that he hoped to say I Do this year, saying: "I already feel married. We have everything besides the piece of paper and the party!"
