Twelve Merseyside areas currently have “suppressed” coronavirus infections.
It comes as coronavirus levels continue to drop across Merseyside, though levels remain high.
The NHS breaks down coronavirus rates to a neighbourhood level, with 181 areas across Merseyside.
An area is categorised as having “suppressed” the virus when no more than three cases have been recorded there in the previous seven days.
It therefore does not mean that the area is entirely Covid-free, but there is an extremely low level of infection.
Wirral, the area with the lowest infection rate, and Liverpool have the most areas where the virus is suppressed, with four neighbourhoods in each borough reporting less than three cases in a week.

Three areas of Sefton and one area of St Helens the borough with the highest infection rate as a whole, report the same.
At the other end of the scale, some areas of our region still have coronavirus infection rates above 400 cases per 100,000 people, an extremely high rate.
