Comedian and actor Richard Ayoade has been involved in a car crash in south-east London, it has been revealed.

The crash took place in East Dulwich on Saturday, June 13, whereby a Renault hit two pedestrians before crashing into a Mercedes SUV that Ayoade was driving.

The Sun reported Ayoade was seen clutching his neck while getting out of his car.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and the pedestrians, reportedly both women, were taken to hospital, according to Met Police.

Thankfully, there were no reported life-threatening or life-changing injuries.

A witness said: “The Renault came speeding along the road and hit a woman — she ended up on the other side of the roundabout. Then the Renault hit Richard Ayoade’s car.

“It smashed straight into the side of his vehicle and then managed to hit another woman. We heard one of the pedestrians who was hit screaming and crying.”

Ayoade, 49, is best known for his role as Maurice Moss in The IT Crowd and for his appearance on the UK’s first season of Last One Laughing.
