Turn 10 Confirms End of New Content Support for Forza Motorsport

Forza Motorsport fans have some tough news to deal with. Playground’s sim racing game, Forza Motorsport, is not going to receive updates anymore, marking the end of an era. In Playgrounds’ Forza Year in Review 2025, they announced that the game will no longer receive content updates.

However, the game will stay live as the servers aren’t going down, but don’t expect any new cars, tracks, or special events. In their own words,

As our team shifts its focus toward delivering the best possible experience with Forza Horizon 6 in 2026, we do not plan to introduce new cars, tracks, features, or regular bug fixes for Forza Motorsport. However, we will continue supporting the game by keeping online servers active, hosting special events and competitions, and reintroducing previously released Featured Tours and reward cars on a monthly basis, until all content is available for you to enjoy anytime.

Forza Horizon 6 is going to be one of the biggest releases for the racing game franchise. Players are expecting a lot from the game, and the move to Japan has got them excited. So, it makes sense that they want to divert all their resources to making it as great as possible.

2025 was a great year for Forza Motorsport. There were a lot of content updates that fans had been requesting, such as the return of the Fujimi Kaido circuit. Overall, there were a lot of cars and events added throughout 2025 in the game. So, the game is going out with a bang.

But that doesn’t make the news any less sad. The truth is, Forza Motorsport was a beloved sim racing game competing with the likes of Gran Turismo 7. Despite its flaws, it managed to create a passionate fanbase that enjoyed the game for what it was.

All eyes now turn to Forza Horizon 6, which is clearly becoming Xbox’s main racing focus heading into 2026. For Motorsport players, the game isn’t going anywhere, but its journey as a growing, living platform has officially reached its final lap.
