Tuesday's weather forecast for Leeds as sun, cloud and rain all expected

Leeds is set for another varied day today (Tuesday), with some sunshine in the morning making way for cloud and rain during the rest of the day.

The Met Office states the city will start with sunny intervals from 7am and on until 11am, during which time temperatures will rise from around 13°C to 18°C.

Then from 11am it's expected to be cloudy for 10 hours straight, with temperatures reaching heights of 21°C during this period.

Temperatures will begin to dip again from 5pm onwards and then at 10pm it's expected to start raining, with heavy showers expected in the early hours of Wednesday.

It's a sharp contrast to last week, when the region saw temperatures reaching up to 28C and there was barely any rain.

In it's summary of the day in Yorkshire, the Met Office said: “Fine with warm sunny spells, although cloud gradually thickening. Breezy with temperatures rather cool for late June. Outbreaks of rain moving east into far western parts into the evening. Maximum temperature 23°C."
