Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump faced backlash after sharing a video on social media featuring an image of a hog-tied President Joe Biden painted on the tailgate of a passing truck. The Biden campaign swiftly condemned the video, expressing concerns about the implied threat of physical harm to the sitting Democratic president.

In response to the criticism, a Trump campaign spokesperson defended the video, stating that it was captured on a passing truck and highlighting past instances of violence and attacks against the former president and his family.

The U.S. Secret Service refrained from commenting on the matter, citing protective intelligence protocols. The video was shared on Trump's social media platform, Truth Social, with the caption indicating that it was filmed in Long Island, New York.

The passing truck in the video displayed messages supporting Trump's potential 2024 candidacy and expressing solidarity with law enforcement. The image of a bound Biden on the vehicle's rear sparked controversy and raised concerns about the tone of political discourse in the country.

Trump, who recently saw his media and technology company go public, has been vocal about his intentions to seek a return to the White House. He has painted a grim picture of the nation's future under a potential second term for Biden, warning of dire consequences if he is not re-elected.

The former president's rhetoric has drawn parallels to historical figures like Adolf Hitler, with references to immigrants and authoritarian language. Trump's remarks at rallies and on social media have often been divisive and provocative, fueling debates about the state of democracy and political discourse in the United States.

Both Trump and Biden have engaged in heated exchanges in the past, with Biden once expressing a willingness to physically confront Trump over derogatory comments made about women. The ongoing tensions between the two political figures reflect the deep divisions within the American political landscape.
