TRNSMT organisers issue ticket warning days before Glasgow Green music festival

Each day, around 50,000 people will descend onto Glasgow Green for TRNMST - Scotland's largest music festival.

Taking place across three days from July 7 until the 9th, artists including the 1975 and Niall Horan - former member of One Direction - will take to the main stage very soon with just days until the big event.

However with just days to go, TRNSMT organisers have issued a warning to festival-goers urging them to be careful when it comes to their tickets.

Taking to social media they warn if it's too good to be true, then it likely is adding: "Don’t get caught out with fake tickets and find out all you need to know about accessing your General Admission or VIP ticket."

In their warning they explain that you should NOT buy tickets from the following places:

  • Viagogo
  • eBay
  • Gumtree
  • Stubhub
  • Facebook Marketplace
  • Eventbrite

If you want to transfer tickets via Ticketmaster, where tickets can currently be bought from, they can be transferred safely between friends and family. They also shared a step-by-step guide about how to access your tickets.

Those with General Admission or VIP tickets should download the Ticketmaster app, log in to their account and view their ticket on the app ahead of arriving at Glasgow Green. Viewing the ticket on the Ticketmaster app before coming to the festival will make sure fans can still access it even if they don’t have a signal.

For those experiencing VIP+ or Ultimate VIP, tickets will be posted to you in advance.

People have also been told that kids under the age of 16 are not permitted into the festival with a dedicated team of stewards working to a Challenge 25 policy. So, if you look under 25, you must bring valid ID with you.

If you’re planning on bringing your YoungScot card, make sure the PASS hologram hasn’t faded, as it’ll not be accepted. And, as always, no photos or photocopies of any ID.
