Trio arrested for snatching chains in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: Jayanagar police have arrested three people for their alleged involvement in five chain-snatching incidents last month.

The accused are Ramesh alias Jockey, 30, of Subramanyapura, Lokesh alias Kamayi, 24, of Machohalli off Magadi Road, and Mohammed Mudasid alias Mudasir, 23, of Anchepalya. Police said Ramesh is a rowdy-sheeter with 13 criminal cases, while Lokesh and Mudasir have 11 cases each at various police stations. To make a quick buck after being released from jail on bail a few months ago, the trio took the chain-snatching route.
