Tributes to 'adored' young Scot who died after falling from block of flats

An 'adored' young Scot who died after falling from a block of flats has been described as 'the life and soul of any room of any room he was in'.

Christopher McEwen sadly passed away following the incident in Pomarium Street, Perth on Saturday evening.

In the wake of the 23-year-old's sudden death, tributes have been paid by loved ones.

A fundraiser has been launched to help Chrissy's mum pay for his funeral.

A statement on the page hailed Christopher, known as Chrissy, as 'a very kind-hearted soul'.

It read: "As a lot of people know we lost a very kind-hearted soul last night at the young age of 23.

"Chrissy was an adored son, brother, uncle and friend to many and was always the life and soul of any room he was in.

"We are fundraising on behalf of Chrissy's family to help cover funeral costs to help with his unexpected and premature passing.

"Any donations are greatly appreciated."

One friend added: "Rest easy bud.

"We'll never forget you."

In just 12 hours £3,500 has been raised for him.

News of Christopher's passing comes amid a spate of similar tragic incidents across Scotland.
