Trevor Noah made reference to one of Prince Harry’s most talked about revelations, while hosting the Grammy Awards at the Cryto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday night.
The comedian, 38, mocked the Duke of Sussex’s admission that he had suffered a “frost bitten penis”, which he had included in his autobiography, Spare.
The South African funnyman made a cheeky quip about the bombshell claim while introducing British comedian and presenter James Corden to the stage. Upon presenting Beyoncé with an award, the comedian went on to announce history had been made as the singer had won a record number of awards.
Introducing James to the audience, Trevor said: “James Corden is a 12-time Emmy winner and the host of The Late Late Show. He's also living proof that a man can move from London to LA and not tell everyone about his frost-bitten penis.”
Viewers of the award ceremony took to social media to discuss the joke, with one person exclaiming: “I bet Harry wasn’t expecting that!”
Another said: “A lot of people missed Trevor Noah's Prince Harry diss and it was funny too.”
A third asked “Did Trevor Noah just diss Prince Harry while introducing James Cordon? Honestly the highlight of the whole ceremony for me.”
Other social media users said they believed the Duke of Sussex would probably laugh at the joke, with one writing: “I’m sure Harry found it funny. He has a good sense of humor.”
In his memoir, Harry told of the time he had suffered from the early stages of frostbite after he took part in the Walking with the Wounded expedition in March 2011.
Upon embarking on the 200-mile trek to the North Pole, Harry was frostbitten on his cheeks, ears and genitalia.
The frostbite was still causing Harry problems upon his return home. Despite his ears and cheeks healing swiftly, his “todger” injuries were still affecting him during William and Kate's wedding in April 2011.
Trevor Noah’s opening monologue at the event also made another innuendo-laden reference to a different Harry.
During his speech, he referred to former One Direction star turned solo artist, Harry Styles, who went on to win Album Of The Year.
Trevor said: “Harry Styles is here tonight, that's right. What can you say about this man that hasn't been said? Incredible album, mind-blowing - what is it 15-night run at MSG and The Forum?
"Women throw their panties at this man and then he puts them on and he looks better in them than they do! Easily the world's sexiest man!”
Some social media users seemed to think Harry looked a bit uncomfortable by Trevor’s remarks.
