Trent Alexander-Arnold explains match-winning Liverpool corner against Barcelona

Trent Alexander-Arnold insisted he had not worked on the corner that sent Liverpool into the Champions League final.

The Reds mounted another incredible European comeback as they fought back from 3-0 down against Barcelona .

Divock Origi got one back after just eight minutes before substitute Georginio Wijnaldum scored twice in as many minutes to level the scores on aggregate.

Origi then capped the fightback and put his side ahead as he slotted home after a quickly-taken corner from Alexander-Arnold that caught Barcelona off guard.

Asked about the set-piece at full-time, the Liverpool defender told BT Sport: "It was just instinctive.

Rio Ferdinand pointed the finger at Barca for their poor defending.

He added: "They went to sleep. That is a schoolboy error. When the ball goes out of play, you set yourself up to defend the corner.
