Transfer news, rumours LIVE: Manchester United want Croatia pair, Arsenal to sell Danny Welbeck, Chelsea chase Gonzalo Higuain, latest Liverpool gossip

LiverpoolManchester United and Arsenal set to be busier than ever.

Liverpool enjoyed success in the Champions League this year and their quest to end their league title drought in 2019 will be bolstered by the arrival of Naby Keita from RB Leipzig. He will not be the last new face on Merseyside, however, with Monaco's Fabinho already in. Stoke's Xherdan Shaqiri could be next or even Real Madrid's Marco Asensio? At United Jose Mourinho looks set to spend big again as he targets reinforcements in his bid to haul in record-breaking Manchester City next season. He's got Fred but another central midfield player is high on his list with a big money move for Gareth Bale not out the question.

For the first time in over two decades Arsenal head into the off-season with a new manager at the helm. That man is former PSG boss Unai Emery after a stunning 11th hour change of heart at the Emirates and he already has two new signings and plenty more on the way with a new central midfielder next on his shopping list. Chelsea are close to appointing a new manager themselves but across London Mauricio Pochettino won't be leaving Tottenham Hotspur after signing a new five-year deal.

We will have all the latest news, views, rumours, gossip and done deals right here so don't touch that dial.

NEWCASTLE NEWS

Newcastle United midfielder Isaac Hayden has asked to leave the club and has handed in an official transfer request, according to reports.

The Mirror claims that the former Arsenal product has asked to leave due to "exceptional family circumstances", and is looking to leave during the current transfer window to move back to the south of England.

EVERTON NEWS

Everton are increasing their interest in Barcelona defender Yerry Mina and are ready to offer £21m for the centre-back, according to Goal.

Mina memorably scored Colombia's equaliser that sent the last-16 clash with England to extra-time and, eventually, penalties, and his performances at the World Cup have caught the eye of the Toffees who are looking to strengthen their defence under new manager Marco Silva.

But Leicester City have also now entered the race for the £26m-rated defender, according to The Sun.

Furthermore, Mina has been speaking publicly about his desire for change.

I want to make the best decision. I fulfilled a dream coming to Barcelona, but this year I have had very difficult moments.

I want a team where it's quiet and has minutes. It's not easy to watch matches and teammates on TV.

WEST HAM NEWS

West Ham are understood to have held preliminary talks with Yaya Toure, the free agent midfielder on the lookout for a new club.

The Sun claims that the Hammers - who this week completed the signings of Jack Wilshere, Andriy Yarmolenko and Fabian Balbuena - have opened discussions with Toure after he left Manchester City, but are currently reluctant to offer the 35-year-old a contract.

After the blockbuster news of Cristiano Ronaldo's move to Juventus, the £88m transfer is likely to trigger a number of deals in the coming days, with the Premier League already running low on time to complete their business as they voted to end the transfer window earlier than the rest of Europe.

Having splashed out on Ronaldo, Juventus are likely to sell a number of players to balance the books, and Liverpool are looking to take full advantage of that with a move for Argentina striker Paulo Dybala. The 24-year-old faces an uncertain future following Ronaldo's arrival, and according to reports in Argentina Liverpool are ready to offer £80m to land him this summer.

Liverpool are being linked with a number of incoming players but one who could be on their way out is Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum.

The 27-year-old faces losing his place in the first team following the arrivals of Naby Keita and Fabinho - who can play in midfield if needed - and according to reports in Turkey he had been given the green light to discuss a move to Fenerbahce.

Having seen Jadon Sancho and Ademola Lookman enjoy success abroad, could Brewster be the latest youngster heading to mainland Europe?

With Chelsea sticking by the Italian model, what will they get in Maurizio Sarri?

Well, as James Horncastle writes, the chain-smoking, hot-headed former Napoli boss will not be afraid to speak his mind, but he may just also be Chelsea's ticket back to the top.

Liverpool's move for Frenchman Nabil Fekir could be back on the table - at least on the player's side of negotiations.

The Mirror reports that Fekir has told Lyon he wants to not only leave the club, but join Liverpool specifically. This goes against what Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas has said publically after he pulled the plug on the move, but it appears that talks could resume one Fekir has returned from the World Cup.

CHELSEA NEWS

Barcelona have already been linked with making an offer for a Chelsea player today in Willian, but reports in Italy suggest this afternoon that they are also keen on landing influential midfielder N'Golo Kante.

According to Sky Italia, Barcelona will offer a cash-plus-player deal in return of the France international, and that could see the Spanish side offer Andre Gomez in return - the midfielder who has already attracted interest from Arsenal.

Gareth Bale will return to Real Madrid for pre-season on Monday, with the Welshman set to hold showdown talks with new manager Julen Lopetegui.

However, the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo has certainly changed the landscape at Madrid, and with no current move on the table, it looks increasingly likely that Bale will give it at least one more season in La Liga.

Newcastle United striker Ayoze Perez is loving life at the Premier League club and has dismissed reports that he could move back to teams in his native Spain.

The 24-year-old, who joined Newcastle in 2014, excelled for the Magpies last season and was their top scorer with eight goals and four assists in 36 Premier League appearances.

His impressive form in the second half of the season has led to media reports of La Liga clubs Real Sociedad and Real Betis being interested in bringing Perez back to Spain.

"I want to be at Newcastle going forward, 100 per cent," Perez told Chronicle Live. "I am living my dream of playing in the Premier League, playing for a massive team, and so it's good to be here and I love playing for this club.

"Obviously it is good to have interest from those Spanish teams, because it makes you feel like you are doing something great, and shows I must be doing something right. But honestly I'm happy in England, I'm happy playing in the Premier League."

Perez said that he was motivated to drive Newcastle's growth next season as the forward hopes to earn a cap for Spain's senior national team.

Newcastle have five pre-season friendlies, starting with Irish top-flight club St. Patrick's Athletic later on Tuesday, before hosting Tottenham Hotspur in their opening match on 11 August.

One thing that is certain though is that Alderweireld is far from happy with how he was treated at Tottenham last season.

The centre-back suffered a bad injury towards the start of the campaign, but barely featured throughout the rest of the season as Mauricio Pochettino put his faith in Jan Vertonghen and Davinson Sanchez.

Now, the Belgian has had his say:
MANCHESTER UNITED NEWS

With Gareth Bale rumoured to be the answer to United's attack issues, Mourinho is understood to be targeting Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld as a solution for his defensive problems.

The Yahoo Sport claim that United remain keen on the Belgian centre-back, and that Spurs are open to selling him after he fell out-of-favour with Mauricio Pochettino last season.

However, no progress is expected on the deal until Belgium end their World Cup campaign in Russia.

MANCHESTER CITY NEWS

Few saw this coming: The Daily Mail have this morning claimed that Joe Hart will be handed a surprise place in Manchester City’s US pre-season tour squad this summer.

The 31-year-old former England number one was frozen out at City by Pep Guardiola two years ago and spent last season on loan with West Ham.

Could Hart be set to challenge Ederson and Claudio Bravo for a place in City’s first-team? Or could he be heading to the States to prepare for a move to the MLS?
WEST HAM NEWS

The Turkish media are this morning reporting that West Ham have made a £16m bid for Besiktas defender and World Cup finalist Domagoj Vida.

Mesut Özil is often criticised for looking fairly tired or uninterested by Arsenal fans, but the attacking midfielder will not be afforded any extra time off this summer.

Arsenal have announced that Özil will be a part of the squad that flies out to Singapore next Tuesday ahead of their pre-season tour, having not played since Germany went out of the World Cup on 27 June.

WATFORD NEWS

The 27-year-old is a free agent after agreeing a mutual termination with Sunderland, having played just three times last season despite his £70,000-a-week contract.

The midfielder has played just 67 times in the last five years, but could yet find himself back in the Premier League - albeit on significantly reduced terms.
