Trail Blazers expected to be without Evan Turner vs. Thunder

Portland Trail Blazers guard Evan Turner will not play Thursday night at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to personal reasons, the team announced on Wednesday.

In 58 games this season, Turner is averaging 7.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists for the Trail Blazers. The ninth-year veteran is logging 23.1 minutes per game this year.

Turner has been somewhat of a non-factor against the Thunder so far this season. In three games against Oklahoma City, he is averaging 4.3 points, 4.3 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game.

Without Turner, the Trail Blazers are 3.5-point favorites against the Thunder as they try to avoid a season-series sweep after previously losing three games to OKC this season.

The Thunder are expected to have a clean injury report for the game with Paul George returning to the lineup on Tuesday night after previously missing three games.

The game is set to tip off at 9:30 p.m. CT and can be seen on TNT.
