A promising young law student died the day after being diagnosed with epilepsy.
Natalie Stewart, 29, was found unresponsive in her bed at her home last Wednesday.
Her mum Sharon Clark dialled 999 and performed CPR on her daughter before paramedics arrived but, tragically, they were unable to save her.
The cause of death is not yet known but a post-mortem is expected to be carried out later this week. Natalie had been experiencing seizures for several weeks and was awaiting a brain scan following her diagnosis.
Paying tribute to their “angel” this week, Natalie’s family – Sharon, dad Ian Stewart and sisters Gemma, 26, and Jade, 13 – said: “Natalie was the centre of her family.
“She was smart, bubbly and beautiful. We are truly devastated. We would like to thank everyone for their love and support at
this time.
“We wouldn’t be able to survive this if it wasn’t for the help of Natalie’s close friends and family.”
Natalie was a published author and studying to become a lawyer at the University of the West of Scotland.
Natalie, from East Kilbride, Lanarkshire, penned two books with Gemma – fantasy novel Magic’s Secret Mystery (The Sinclair Chronicles Book 1) and children’s book Emily and Other Stories.
The inseparable pair were close to finishing their third, the next instalment of The Sinclair Chronicles, before Natalie’s untimely death but Gemma has vowed to complete the final chapters in her sister’s memory.
