Tragedy as man's body found in Leeds park as police issue statement

Police have swarmed a Leeds park today following the tragic discovery of a man's body.

West Yorkshire Police are currently at the scene in Meanwood Park, just off Hustlers Row in Leeds after a man's body has been found in the park around 8am today, police confirm.

A huge scene remains in place on Tuesday afternoon as police enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the man’s death.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "At 8.03am today, police were called to a man found dead in an area of Meanwood Park, off Hustlers Row, Leeds.

"A scene is in place and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the man’s death."
