Traffic lights stop working after crash at A610 roundabout near IKEA

A picture posted online shows the emergency services attending a crash on a main road in Nottingham.

The incident happened on Monday, December 28 at around 12.30pm at the A610 roundabout near IKEA in Giltbrook.

As a result of the crash, the traffic light system was said to be 'temporarily down'.

The image posted by Broxtowe Police on Facebook showed three police cars, an ambulance and fire engine at the roundabout.

A red car with damage to the front end can be seen off the road and on the footpath alongside the traffic lights, facing the road.

There is also some debris lying on the grass verge near the junction.

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police posted on Facebook: "RTC - Officers are currently dealing with a road traffic collision at the A610 IKEA roundabout.

"The traffic light system is temporarily down so please take care when travelling to the area."
