The M8 Motorway in Glasgow remains closed in one direction this morning following a serious crash last night.
Police have confirmed that the closure of the M8 Westbound, between J7A and J8, Baillieston, is expected to last through the morning rush hour.
Officers advise drivers to avoid the area, allow extra time for their journey and follow the diversions that have been put in place as a result.
Traffic Scotland have confirmed that investigations are ongoing into last night's crash, which took place around 8:45pm.
There is currently a delay of about 30 minutes due to the diversions in place.
Drivers should also take note that a multi-vehicle crash on the M74 between J5 (Raith) - J6 (Hamilton) is currently blocking one lane, with traffic slow on approach.
Police and The Trunk Road Incident Support Service (TRISS) are en route.
