TOWIE's Frankie Essex 'unable to look after her babies' as she battles with 'intense pain'

The Only Way Is Essex star Frankie Essex revealed she was left unable to properly look after her children after suffering intense back pain.

Frankie, 35, and her boyfriend Luke Love welcomed their twins Logan and Luella last year.

She has been sharing glimpses into motherhood as well as the ups and downs she has experienced since welcoming the bundles of joy.

Most recently, the star was left in tears over the intense back pain she's been suffering from and is sometimes unable to move because of it.

"Last night was the first night I didn't cry," she explained.

"I've just been so over the pain, and it's been awful not being able to look after the babies properly."

She added to her OK! column: "But I am beginning to feel a bit better, but I've got a slipped disc and it's going to take about six weeks to recover."

Earlier this year, Frankie said her twins were conceived six days apart which is why they look so different.

After welcoming the twins, the babies have been in and out of the hospital.

In October, little Logan was taken to A&E to have an abscess removed from his leg.

Meanwhile, Luella was born with a condition called torticollis, which is a twisting of the neck that can cause the head to rotate and tilt.

Speaking about why her children are so different, she said: "Some boy and girl twins can look like each other in that you can tell that they’re brother and sister, but Logan and Luella don’t look alike at all.

"I think it’s because they were conceived at different times," she told OK!.

"When we went for our eight-week scan, Logan had a heartbeat and was a full embryo and Luella had just got her heartbeat. She was six days behind him."

Frankie announced her pregnancy in February last year, telling new! at the time: "I didn’t have a period for a couple of months when I stopped everything. Then I had my period and wrote that down.

"The next month came along and I didn’t have one, so I just assumed they were messed up from coming off contraception.

"I left it for another two weeks. Then I just bought a pregnancy test to see. I did it and it came back positive! I was so shocked, I didn’t tell Luke for a week."
