The Tour de France is the biggest bike race in the world and sees the very best cyclists from the sport's biggest teams do battle over 21 stages and, this year, a total distance of 3,333km.
Here we'll give you the rundown of the bikes, components and equipment used by all 23 teams competing in the 2026 edition of the race. It can be hard to spot individual bike brands in the peloton while the racing is on, let alone their wheels, tyres and saddles, so we have listed all the individual components and equipment teams are using.
A lot of new bikes and components have been launched since last year, some only in the days before the race, so you can rely on this guide to be your ultimate up-to-date equipment guide for the race.

Alpecin-Premier Tech's equipment package hasn't changed for a long time and the team has enjoyed a lot of success aboard its Canyon Aeroad CFR bikes.
The team also technically has the Canyon Ultimate all-rounder to use alongside the Aero model, but we hardly ever see any team riders using it. This year, Canyon also launched the cobble-ready Endurace CFR, purpose-designed for Paris-Roubaix, but that bike's back at the Service Course HQ for another year now.
Perhaps most interesting is that Van der Poel, who steadfastly remained on wider handlebars, has finally made the switch to a narrow option, now running a 35cm-wide bar that's right on the UCI's limit.
Bahrain Victorious

Bahrain Victorious swapped bike brands at the start of 2026 from long-time supplier Merida, to Italian brand Bianchi.
The change sees the team on the recently updated lightweight/aero Specialissima and the all-in-on-aero Oltre, which is a few years older now.
Other suppliers have remained the same as last year, though, so they're still riding on Vision Metron wheels with Conti tyres and sitting on Prologo saddles. They have a deal with Chinese brand Elilee for crank-based power meters, but are all equipped with Favero Assioma RS power meter pedals.
Caja Rural-Seguros RGA

The first of five wildcard invitees to the Tour, Caja Rural ride bikes from Spanish brand MMR. MMR will field the Aelion lightweight/aero bike with a Shimano groupset and Vision wheels and cockpit. It doesn't show a time trial bike on its site, so the team is likely to be on a repainted frame from another brand, or a prototype.
The team has had a run of bad luck in 2026, with a spate of injuries, most recently two riders suffering broken legs in a crash at the Tour of Slovenia, so they may not be fielding their strongest team at the Tour.
Cofidis

The French team Cofidis use frames from the French manufacturer Look, which has just rolled out the third generation of its 795 Blade RS, a bike that it claims is lighter and 15 watts faster than its predecessor.
Again this year, Cofidis is the only WorldTour team to use Campagnolo equipment, with its Super Record 13 groupset and Bora Ultra wheels.
Fun fact: Campagnolo groupsets have claimed the most overall Tour wins in history, even if they've been eclipsed in popularity by Shimano and SRAM more recently.
Decathlon CMA CGM

Decathlon CMA CGM will be looking to 19-year-old ascending talent Paul Seixas as the team's star rider this year. The team has preferred the aero Van Rysel RCR-F, but Seixas has been spotted riding a new aero/lightweight prototype at the Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
This year, it swapped from Shimano to SRAM groupsets, but other partners remain as last year, with a close association with Swiss Side, which supplies the wheels and alongside which Van Rysel has honed its bikes' aerodynamics.
EF Education-EasyPost

EF Education-EasyPost has swapped from Shimano to SRAM groupsets this year on its Cannondale SuperSix EVO bikes. It also now has Assos as its clothing supplier in place of Rapha. Assos has maintained the team's run of out-there swap-out kit for the Giro d'Italia, as well as supplying its range of state-of-the-art skinsuits.
Other suppliers remain as in previous years, with Vision supplying the team's wheels and Prologo its saddles.
Groupama-FDJ United

Groupama-FDJ United has the latest Wilier Filante SLR ID2 road bike as its main ride, along with the Verticale SLR lightweight bike. We took the Filante SLR ID2 to the wind tunnel for our own tests and found it was as aero as many of the best aero road bikes.
This year, the team's bikes are painted a striking red. They're equipped with the new Deva RD wheelset from Miche, whose CEO explained to us last year just what's involved in supporting a WorldTour team.
The team also has a new cycling computer, supplied by iGPSport, the brand's first entry into the WorldTour.
Lidl-Trek

Lidl-Trek hasn't changed its kit package again this year, riding the Trek Madone Gen 8, along with Aeolus wheels from Trek-owned Bontrager. It was one of the teams on SRAM before the brand's groupsets started to nibble away at Shimano's dominance in the WorldTour.
For a while, it rode with Time pedals, but it's now back with Shimano, breaking with the SRAM theme. Trek uses the team to showcase its Project One custom paint and there's another distinctive design this year.
Lotto - Intermarché

The merger of Lotto and Intermarché saw the team elevated to the WorldTour and the partnertship between Lotto and Orbea continued, as Intermarche's deal with Cube was shelved. Wheels also come from Orbea's Basque sister brand Oquo. It's another team riding striking red bikes and had an unlaunched updated Orbea Orca Aero on display at the Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
It may have gone Basque with its bikes, but it retains a Belgian connection through its clothing supplier Vermarc, which began kitting out Lotto back in 2004.
Movistar Team

Movistar continues to run a similar set-up to that it's used for a number of years, even if its Spanish mobile network title sponsor is rumoured to be looking to pull back from its commitment.
It's Canyon bike sponsor hasn't changed in 13 years, though and the team continues to be the most SRAM-equipped in the peloton, with the American brand supplying its Red AXS groupset, Zipp wheels and even the team's Time pedals.
As with Netcompany Ineos, clothing comes from Spanish brand Gobik.

The former Ineos Grenadiers gained a new title sponsor and a name change in April. It's also swapped from Shimano to Scope wheels, abandoning its former out-of-sponsor dalliances with Princeton CarbonWorks too.
What hasn't changed is its relationship with Pinarello, which has been the team's bike sponsor since it debuted as Team Sky back in 2010. Pinarello's bikes have evolved the same distinctive curvy shape since the Dogma F8, with the current Dogma F clearly that bike's successor.
NSN Cycling Team

Following almost daily protests and a sponsor exodus, the Israel-Premier Tech team was reborn as NSN, Spanish football legend Andres Iniesta's investment firm, which signifies Never Say Never. While many teams now have a women's squad, NSN is exclusively male, although it funds a development squad alongside its WorldTour team.
Its ownership is Spanish/Swiss, with Swiss company Scott supplying its Foil RC aero bike and Addict RC lightweight bike, while SRAM is also well-represented with Zipp wheels and Hammerhead computers alongside its Red AXS groupsets.
French direct sales outfit Ekoï supplies various teams with its helmets and glasses, but for NSN it provides its clothing too. And to top it off, casual shoes for the entire team and staff, are supplied by Iniesta's wife's shoe brand, Mikakus.
Pinarello-Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team

Tom Pidcock's Pinarello-Q36.5 pro team has a wildcard invitation to the Tour, and he'll be looking to make his mark as he did in his debut 2022 Tour with his descending skills.
No prizes for guessing whose bikes they ride or who supplies the team's kit. It's another team on SRAM groupsets, and SRAM also supplies the Zipp wheels.
Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe

RedBull-Bora-Hansgrohe is, along with Soudal-QuickStep, a Specialized-sponsored team and has the shiny new S-Works Tarmac SL9 to ride in this year's Tour. Specialized also supplies the Roval Rapide CLX III and Sprint wheels.
Bora has a very similar package to Soudal-QuickStep, but its bikes are equipped with SRAM Red AXS groupsets rather than the Belgian outfit's Shimano Dura-Ace.
It's got a team leader double header, with Remco Evenepoel and Florian Lipowitz, so it will be interesting to see who comes out on top in this year's race, but Evenepoel has already been given preferential treatment, with a prototype Shiv TT frame for the opening stage team time trial.
Soudal-QuickStep

Soudal-QuickStep - who today it was announced will be swapping to Soudal-SafetyJogger in 2027 - is another team on the Tarmac SL9, having ridden Specialized bikes for 20 years now, although there are rumours it will swap to Merida bikes for the 2027 season.
In the meantime, it remains a Specialized-heavy show, equipped with Roval wheels and Specialized tyres too, but uses go-faster CeramicSpeed bottom brackets and SLT headset bearings.
The team, or 'Wolfpack' as it likes to be known, is kitted out by Castelli, while Specialized supplies helmets and shoes.
Team Jayco-AlUla

While Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe and Soudal-QuickStep's set-ups are dominated by Specialized, there's a similar relationship between Jayco-AlUla and Giant, which supplies the team's bikes, Cadex wheels and tyres and even its saddles.
The purple MAAP clothing colour remains, matching the bikes, but with electric green flashes added on the swap-out kit for the Tour. Along with the shouty logos on wheels and frames, it ensures the team stands out in the peloton.

The Picnic-PostNL team lost its standout rider from last year when Oscar Onley skipped over to Netcompany-Ineos and admits that things aren't going smoothly, as it languishes 29th in the UCI rankings with just one victory so far in 2026.
The team will be hoping for a breakthrough at the Tour, where it will continue to ride its Lapierre Xelius DRS bikes with wheels from Italian brand Ursus and, for its time trial bikes, Scope. It rolls on Michelin tyres.

After his resounding victory at the Giro d'Italia in May, Visma-Lease a Bike team leader Jonas Vingegaard will again be aiming to dethrone reigning champion Tadej Pogačar this year.
The team mainly rides the Cervélo S5 and Vingegaard can be seen steaming up the steepest summit finishes on the team's aero bike, while other team members prefer the lightweight R5. He's partial to a 1x drivetrain on his SRAM-equipped bike too, at least on flat stages.
Vingegaard is also one of the most instrumented riders in the peloton, with a Tymewear breathing sensor helping him to gauge his efforts. Look out for his monster Giro Aerohead 2 helmet for the time trials too, complete with red Bygma branding - a Danish DIY chain.

Team TotalEnergies is another non-WorldTour team which has an entry for this year's race.
This year, it's switched to Cube bikes from Enve, while wheels come from Cube-owned Newmen. There's a new Litening Aero out there that we saw at the Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, which we expect to debut officially ahead of the Tour, despite the team telling us it's a prototype for a 2028 release.
Tudor Pro Cycling

Tudor Pro Cycling, headed up by retired Tour star Fabian Cancellara, is another of the non-WorldTour squads at the race. Don't be fooled, though; it has some very nice bikes and kit.
The team races on Swiss BMC bikes, usually the Teammachine R 01; however, certain star riders have been racing on the 'Masterpiece' edition this year, which doesn't feature any paint and uses a special carbon layup. If you see an all-black bike with silver graphics and no paint, it's this. SRAM supplies the groupset and Time pedals.
DT Swiss supplies the team's wheels, but Assos is no longer kit supplier and the team is now in Sportful clothing, breaking the Swiss theme.
UAE Team Emirates - XRG

World Champion Tadej Pogačar is looking to secure his fifth Tour de France win this year. He and the rest of the team usually ride the Colnago Y1Rs aero bike. For the critical time trial stages, he will have the just-launched TT2, on which he won the Tour de Suisse time trial by 0.04 seconds ahead of Mathieu van der Poel and which comes close to the UCI weight limit.
UAE Team Emirates uses Dura-Ace groupsets, plus Enve wheels and handlebars. Notably, the team has used exotic Carbon Ti carbon chainrings and disc rotors to save even more weight. It even swaps out the stock bottom bracket on Pog and Isaac del Toro's bikes for a purpose-designed model from Spanish brand Bikone which weighs just 77g and is designed to be more aero.
Uno-X Mobility

Scandi team Uno-X Mobility continues to ride the aero Ridley Noah Fast 3.0 aero bike, although the team also had an unreleased lightweight/aero bike which it raced at the Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
The team uses Shimano Dura-Ace groupsets with CeramicSpeed OSPW pulley wheels and DT Swiss wheels fitted with Continental GP5000 tyres.
XDS Astana Team

As last year, XDS Astana races on X-Lab AD9 and RS9 bikes from the Chinese bike brand.
The team's component selection remains largely the same with Shimano Dura-Ace groupsets, Vision Metron RS wheels and Vittoria Corsa Pro tyres, some of the best road bike tyres around.
This year, it has switched to cycling computers and other electronics from Chinese brand Magene.
Tour tech predictions
The Tour is cycling's biggest shop window, so it's a great marketing opportunity, showing products off and gaining attention.

Wheelsets in particular have got a lot lighter over the last few years. Deep-section aero wheels with wide and round aero profiles are now not so very far off the weights of all-out climbing wheels of old.
This really brings bike weights down, and we are arriving at the point where aero race bikes with not much in the way of aerodynamic concessions are at the UCI 6.8kg minimum weight limit - just ask Lorena Wiebes, who was recently disqualified for tipping below that limit.
The past year has seen a bumper crop of new aero bikes skimming this number and even the latest Colnago TT2 time trial bike can be built up close to 6.8kg, according to Colnago.
