
Tragedy struck on Friday when a tour bus carrying approximately 50 passengers back to New York City from Niagara Falls crashed into a ditch, resulting in multiple fatalities and injuries. The bus, which was reported to have passengers of Indian, Chinese, and Filipino descent, rolled over after losing control for unknown reasons, according to New York State Police.
State Police spokesperson James O’Callaghan revealed that several individuals were entrapped, while others were ejected from the bus. The authorities are actively responding to the crash scene, with ongoing rescue efforts. Despite the grim situation, there is hope that some entrapped individuals may still be alive.
The accident occurred along Interstate 90 eastbound near the town of Pembroke, east of Buffalo, New York. The state Thruway has been closed in both directions near the crash site as emergency responders, including helicopters, ambulances, and law enforcement, work tirelessly at the scene.



With a confirmed count of 52 people on board, including the driver, the bus company provided a passenger list to the police. Victims are being transported to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York, for medical treatment.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul expressed her sorrow over the tragic incident and assured that first responders are diligently working to rescue and assist all those involved. The state's Department of Transportation is aiding stranded individuals on the interstate, as the aftermath of the crash has caused disruptions and chaos in the area.
