Tough new lockdown rules brought in across Spain

Spain has introduced tough new lockdown rules in a bid to stop the spread of coronavirus.

A spike in the number of cases in the country saw the Uk Government withdraw Spain from the safe travel list.

That means anyone arriving in the UK from Spain must quarantine for 14 days.

Now all Spanish regions have agreed tough new rules which aim to turn the tide.

All nightclubs have been closed and smoking has been banned in outdoor areas.

Spain has also advised against gathering in groups of more than 10 and has warned young people not to gather outside while drinking.

Local governments have already planned banning smokers from beaches at popular getaway spots from next year.

It will mean Brits who escape for summer sun in 20201 will be sunbathing on smoke-free beaches.

All five beaches in Santa Cruz will be covered by the ban.
