Tottenham vs Everton: Hugo Lloris and Son Heung-min separated by teammates after row at half-time

Hugo Lloris and Son Heung-min were separated by teammates after an aggressive exchange at half-time in Tottenham’s match against Everton.

The French goalkeeper could be seen rushing towards the Korean after the first half ended.

Giovani Lo Celso was forced to come between the teammates as Lloris pushed Son away.

Lloris appeared to be irritated by Son’s effort on the stroke of half-time before Richarlison went close to equalising.

Son failed to track back for the hosts, with the Brazilian shooting narrowly wide.

Harry Winks attempted to calm down Lloris, while Moussa Sissoko shoved Son towards the tunnel.

Jose Mourinho’s side went ahead through a Michael Keane own-goal after Lo Celso’s deflected effort.

After reviewing the incident at half-time, Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp said: “At least it shows they care.”

Gary Neville added: "I think he did [have a point], Son did that old trick, 'I couldn't react', but he certainly could have. Urgency, tempo, I wouldn't say they look disinterested, but certaintly lethargic, they've got to set it up."

The pair could be seen warmly embracing each other in the tunnel ahead of the restart, apparently ending any anomosity between the pair.
