Harry Kane has been unable to join up with his Tottenham Hotspur team-mates for pre-season training after being placed in quarantine.
The England captain has been put into isolation after returning from a holiday in the Bahamas, with the Caribbean islands part of the UK’s quarantine list.
Kane has been in self-isolation at home with his wife and two children while Spurs have got their preparations for the new Premier League season underway.
Jose Mourinho’s side are back in training with the 2020/21 campaign now just a matter of weeks away, with Spurs kicking off against Everton on September 12.
Kane is expected to be back at the club’s Hotspur Way training centre next week though, and is unlikely to face any issues with being ready for the season opener, nor England’s Nations League games the previous week.
Spurs players are returning to training on a staggered basis, having only finished the previous season just under a month ago.
New signings Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Joe Hart were both in training at their new club for the first time, while the likes of Lucas Moura, Son Heung-min, Harry Winks and Ben Davies also reported for duty.
Spurs begin their pre-season preparations in earnest when they take on League One side Ipswich Town at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.
