Tottenham's most important player according to the fans and it's not Harry Kane

There are certain players in the Tottenham squad that Mauricio Pochettino would be loathe to lose.

And there would be a certain amount of crossover when it comes to the supporters' feelings on certain players being sold.

Spurs have hit something of a brick wall so far this season, winning just three times in 12 Premier League games, languishing in 14th place in the table, a long way off the top four.

There is still time to turn things around, of course, but already this season there have been occasions where the club were expected to bounce back, and haven't done so.

Thoughts are swiftly turning to the January transfer window and the reinforcements that Pochettino could bring in.

But fans will also be looking at who goes out the exit door, with many of those who were expected to leave in the summer still at the club and playing big roles.

We asked you, the fans, to tell us which of Pochettino's current squad you would like to keep, and who you would be keen to sell ahead of January.

And you responded in fine fashion, with more than 1,500 using our interactive gadget.

Alasdair Gold: It highlights the mess that Pochettino is having to navigate

And the results were interesting to see.

First of all, not everyone got to the end using the gadget, with plenty of people tailing off after every player's name!

But of those who voted, it's clear to see who the fans think is the most important player at Tottenham, and it's not talisman Harry Kane.

Kane is hugely popular and pulled in 1,508 keep votes of a total of 1,583 people who got to the number ten. That means 75 people would sell him - interesting.

There was one player who received more keep votes than Kane, though - Son Heung-min. 1,540 people voted to keep the South Korean, with 60 suggesting it was a good time to sell.

Interestingly Troy Parrott, the last name in the list given his squad number of 52, pulled in 1,450 keep votes and just 51 sell votes. making him, alongside new signings Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon one of the most popular players fans want to keep in terms of percentages of votes (96.6%).
