Tottenham player ratings: Mixed Joe Rodon full debut as attackers struggle but Spurs go top

Hugo Lloris

Recovered from illness to play in the derby and didn't have a save to make until the final ten minutes when he did well to push aside Mount's shot from distance. Made another stop to deny Giroud in added time. Again showing his concentration levels to be crucial in the final minutes. 7

Serge Aurier

Tested Mendy with a low early shot from the edge of the Chelsea box. More advanced at times than against City, with Sissoko covering. Like many of his team-mates, his final ball wasn't great. 7

Joe Rodon

Very vocal from the start, despite a couple of nervy early moments including a mistake which led to Werner's ruled out strike. Really grew into the game with some important headers but made a silly mistake late on with a weak header that fell for Giroud, only for Lloris to deny him. A promising first Premier League start but he will have to learn from a couple of errors. 7

Eric Dier

Some very iffy passing at times, particularly trying to ping efforts from distance to team-mates. However, his defending was excellent and Chelsea struggled to get past him. Would have scored even higher were it not for some of those poor passes. 8

Sergio Reguilon

Got up and down the left in the first half and defended well on the whole, taking a yellow card for the team in the second period. 7

Moussa Sissoko

Covered plenty of ground but often panicked when he had the ball in advanced areas and had to release it. 6

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

Pressed all over the Spurs half and harassed the Chelsea players in possession. Was a sweeper for much of the game. 7

Tanguy Ndombele

Dazzled Chelsea in the first half with a couple of pirouettes and his fast feet. Won a couple of free-kicks in the second half but faded a bit in his third start of the week. 7

Steven Bergwijn

Lifted an early shot over the crossbar following a good Spurs break. Worked hard but sloppy with his final ball on a number of occasions. Picked up a yellow card early in the second half but lasted almost 90 minutes before being replaced. 5

Son Heung-min

Didn't see too much of the ball for long periods of the game and when he had it, he didn't do much with it although he did give the ball away less than his fellow attacking team-mates. 5

Harry Kane

Started many of Spurs' counter attacks in the first half but found space harder to come by in the second and barely touched the ball. 5

Subs

Giovani Lo Celso

Replaced Ndombele with just under half an hour to go. Spurned a big chance at the end where he neither shot nor passed and instead hit the ball out of play. 4

Ben Davies

Replaced Bergwijn in the final minutes. N/A

Lucas Moura

Came on for Son in added time. N/A
