Tottenham news: Daniel Levy comments on Fabio Paratici exit as Stellini provides injury update

Levy on Paratici exit

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Fabio Paratici has resigned from his role as managing director of football at the club.

Paratici was unsuccessful with an appeal against his Italian Football Federation (FIGC) ban on certain football-related activities - which was subsequently extended worldwide by FIFA at the end of March - and will now leave his role with immediate effect.

Major injury update for Newcastle

Cristian Stellini has confirmed that Ben Davies and Clement Lenglet have been involved in Tottenham training ahead of this weekend's game against Newcastle United.

Spurs have been hit by a number of injuries of late, with Davies not featuring since the 3-3 draw against Southampton and Lenglet limping out of last Saturday's 3-2 defeat at home to Bournemouth.

Although Davies has been back in training, which is certainly welcome news going into the run-in, Stellini has admitted that the Wales international may not be ready to play just yet.

Nagelsmann chance back on

Tottenham have been given a boost to their hopes of appointing Julian Nagelsmann as their club's next permanent manager. The young German coach was in the running to take charge at Chelsea but on Friday it was revealed he had pulled out of the race.

Former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is on the shortlist of options for Todd Boehly and his team along with Vincent Kompany.

Following the key update, Nagelsmann shot up in the odds for who could take charge at Spurs for the first game of the 2023/24 season.
