
Heung-min Son will be unveiled by LAFC on Wednesday as the most expensive signing in Major League Soccer history.
The Tottenham captain has agreed a two-year deal and will join for a fee of around £20million, which surpasses the $22m (£16.6m) fee paid by Atlanta United for Emmanuel Latte Lath in February 2025.

Son was in attendance at the BMO Stadium on Tuesday as LAFC won 2-1 at Tigres in the Leagues Cup, and will be unveiled by his new club on Wednesday at 2pm local time (10pm BST).
The 33-year-old bid an emotional farewell to Spurs over the weekend, having played his final minutes in a 1-1 draw with Newcastle in South Korea.

Club captain Son was given a standing ovation from the stands and a guard of honour from both sets of players as he was substituted in the second half.
Son leaves with a record of 173 goals in 454 appearances, and led Spurs to Europa League glory in his final competitive game, ending the club’s 17-year trophy drought in the process.
