Tottenham fans have been wishing former left-back Danny Rose well amid rumours of an imminent move to Watford.
The ex-England defender left Spurs at the end of the 2020/21 campaign following the expiry of his contract, bringing to an end a 14-year association with the north London club.
Since his exit, Rose has so far not managed to find a new club, although that could be set to change with The Athletic reporting that Watford are edging close to signing him on a free transfer.
Of course, a move to Vicarage Road would see Rose remain in the Premier League following his Tottenham release.
The 30-year-old could even line up against his former club next season with Watford having earned promotion back to the top flight at the first time of asking.
Following the news that Rose was close to becoming a Hornet, Tottenham fans expressed their gratitude towards the player, wishing him luck ahead of a potential move.
They took to social media on Friday afternoon to express their thoughts.
In all, Rose made 214 appearances for Spurs in all competitions since a 2007 switch from Leeds United.
He was sent out on four consecutive loan deals before firmly breaking into the first team during the 2011/12 season, and he did score a memorable goal on his debut with a strike from range against north London rivals Arsenal at White Hart Lane.
Intriguingly, Rose has represented Watford before having had a seven-game loan spell at Vicarage Road during the 2008/09 campaign.
