Tottenham evening headlines as Barcelona give Spurs Tanguy Ndombele transfer ultimatum

Here are the Spurs evening headlines on Saturday, May 2.

Barcelona give Spurs Ndombele ultimatum

Spanish giants Barcelona are said to have made it clear to Spurs they will only strike a deal for Tanguy Ndombele if Jose Mourinho takes either Samuel Umtiti or Nelson Semedo as part of any deal.

According to Sport, the La Liga leaders are keen to offload Umtiti or Semedo - and have told Spurs a deal will only be possible in a player-plus-cash scenario, because they are unwilling to meet the asking price for Ndombele.

Spurs tipped to miss out on Willian

Martin Keown believes Willian could be bound for Real Madrid or Barcelona when his Chelsea contract expires.

Willian's deal at Chelsea is set to expire on June 30 and negotiations have long since stalled meaning that the Brazilian's seven-year stay at Stamford Bridge seems destined to end.

The 31-year-old has already been linked to Chelsea's London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham.

He did little to dispel those links earlier this week when he said "it would be fine to move to a rival club" on a Brazilian Youtube channel.

However Keown expects Willian to ultimately end up in Spain.

“I think he’s aiming for Barcelona or Real Madrid,” Keown told talkSPORT.

The problem Willian could face if he joins Spurs

Willian could be on his way to Tottenham Hotspur from Chelsea this summer.

If Willian was to join the north London outfit, it would be seven years after Spurs were hi-jacked by the Blues for the attacking midfielder's signature.

And it's because of what happened in the summer of 2013 which would pose a major problem for Willian if he were to sign for the Lilywhites.

Chelsea fans created a song for Willian literally just days after he was unveiled by the Stamford Bridge outfit and can be heard especially when the two teams from the capital lock horns.
