Tottenham confirmed team vs Liverpool: Dejan Kulusevski back on the bench, Perisic up front

Antonio Conte has been forced into two changes from midweek as Tottenham welcome Liverpool on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League.

The Italian has had to put together a Spurs attack that does not contain Son Heung-min or Richarlison but does have Dejan Kulusevski back on the bench after his 11-game absence with a hamstring injury. Lucas Moura has still been feeling pain with his tendon inflammation but Conte asked if he can make himself available due to the lack of numbers and the Brazilian is on the bench.

Rodrigo Bentancur was back in training on Friday following fatigue and feeling his hamstring as he came off in Marseille and the Uruguayan starts in a midfield three with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Yves Bissouma.

Ivan Perisic takes on a new role up front with Harry Kane with Ryan Sessegnon backing him up behind as the left wing-back. The Spurs head coach has yet shown a belief in Bryan Gil to start the 21-year-old Spaniard, preferring to bring him on late in games against tired defences and he is on the bench again.

In the other wing-back spot, the Tottenham boss has gone for the more defensive nature of Emerson Royal against Liverpool's attack to Matt Doherty. At the back Cristian Romero remains out which sees Spurs stick with the back three that played in France with Eric Dier shifting over to the right alongside Clement Lenglet and Ben Davies.

Here's the team Conte has selected:

Lloris; Dier, Lenglet, Davies; Emerson, Hojbjerg, Bissouma, Bentancur, Sessegnon; Kane, Perisic. Subs: Forster, Sanchez, Tanganga, Doherty, Sarr, Skipp, Kulusevski, Lucas, Gil.
