Tottenham have been dealt a blow ahead of the new season after Thomas Frank confirmed Destiny Udogie has suffered a knee injury.
Udogie was left out of the Spurs squad for their pre-season tour of Asia and the left-back is now a doubt for the start of the 2025-26 campaign.
Frank initially played down injury concerns over Udogie when the Italy international pulled out of a friendly win over Luton last weekend after he “felt something in the warm up”.
But Frank has now revealed that Udogie has suffered a knee injury and Spurs have been left sweating over his fitness ahead of the new season.

Spurs face Paris Saint-Germain in the Super Cup on August 13 and they kick-off the new Premier League season against Burnley on August 16.
Speaking in Hong Kong on Tuesday before Spurs face Arsenal in a pre-season friendly on Thursday, Frank said: “Destiny got a knee injury that we're assessing at the moment that just kept him out for this pre-season tour. When we know more, we'll update more."
In another blow for Spurs, new signing Kota Takai has suffered a foot injury and is set to miss the start of the new season.
Frank said: “Kota got a plantar fascia injury. Unfortunately I don't know exactly the scale of it - weeks.”
Dominic Solanke missed the Luton game with what was described as a “minor ankle issue” but the striker is with the Spurs squad in Asia and the Frank said the issue is “nothing we’re worried about”.
