Tot killer Savannah Brockhill lands £10k of taxpayers' cash before splurging £9k on Rolex

A woman who murdered innocent tot Star Hobson landed more than £10,000 in taxpayers' money to help pay her legal bills, before reportedly splurging £9,000 of her own money on a Rolex watch.

Savannah Brockhill, 28, was sentenced to life behind bars after she was found guilty of murdering Star who was just 16-months-old.

Star's mum and Brockhill's former partner Frankie Smith, from Bradford, was jailed for eight years after it was discovered she allowed her daughters' death, Yorkshire Live reports.

Child killer Brockhill has already been bombarded with "fan letters" and money from sick "admirers" just weeks after ending up in prison.

And now, the Ministry of Justice has confirmed that Brockhill was given £10,290 in legal aid to pay for a solicitor to help fight her case in court.

Brockhill will not have had direct access to this money, with the cash instead going straight to the lawyers.

However, The Sun also says the child murderer has spent a separate £9,000 on a luxurious Rolex watch.

Brockhill has her own room in prison with a TV and en-suite and has reportedly also been bragging about life in her cushy cell.

Despite her sick and heinous crime, prison sources have revealed Brockhill has a fan club of admirers who send messages of support.

The Daily Star Sunday reports that a jail source said: "It's a sad reflection on society that some members of the public enjoy writing to a killer like this - and even reward her with gifts. A lot are from admirers.

"It beggars belief really, but Savannah is said to be loving the attention and almost thinks of herself as a celebrity and prison pin-up."

Brockhill killed Star by kicking or punching her in the stomach, with the boxer landing a blow similar to all the force of a crashing car, according to a medical expert.

Star was the victim of Brockhill's on-off and toxic relationship with the tot's mum Frankie Smith, who could be jailed for even longer amid fears her sentence is too lenient.

Smith could be free by the time she is 24 under the early release system but the Attorney general has ordered a review of her case.
