A tot has sparked disbelief and shock after it was born with an extra pair of arms and legs. The baby, from India, has been hailed as a 'miracle of nature', and has even been compared to a reincarnated version of God.
Incredible images show the child, who was born weighing 6.5lbs, with an extra four limbs protruding from the stomach. The tot was delivered at the Shahabad Community Health Centre in Hardoi, India.
Mum Kareena was rushed to the hospital after experiencing labour pains on July 2 and gave birth soon after. Despite the medical rarity, miraculously both mother and baby are said to be healthy and doing well, The Mirror reports.
After news spread across the area, reports state that locals flocked to the hospital to see the multiple-limbed child first hand. This is not the first time a baby in India has left crowds excited.
Earlier this year, another tot born with four arms and legs was idolised by locals who thought that the child was an incarnation of God. The newborn's mum was surrounded by visitors in Sadar Hospital after she gave birth on January 17.
The child, whose gender is yet to be revealed, quickly became a local celebrity for its unique appearance and extra limbs. Video footage showed the kid surrounded by fascinated residents as they took pictures of the child and their exposed organs.
The child could be seen resting in a basket full of colourful sheets placed on the mother's lap as she sat upright in a hospital bed.
