Toploader, Dodgy and Tinchy Stryder to headline NRT Fest music festival in Neath this summer

The band behind the hit 2000 cover of Dancing In The Moonlight, Toploader, will be dancing their way to Neath this summer to headline an annual family-friendly music festival. This year's NRT Fest, organised by the Neath Round Table charity, will also see Dodgy, Tinchy Stryder and Blazin' Squad take to the stage over the weekend of July 7 and 8, 2023.

NRT Fest (Neath Round Table Festival) has been running for several years and sees hundreds of local people of all ages meet up at Cwrt Herbert Playing Fields in the town to socialise with friends, watch live music and soak in the summer sun - usually! Last year, hundreds flocked to the fields to see headliners Atomic Kitten and Hoosiers, whilst pre-pandemic, The Feeling and B*Witched headlined the event in 2019, with Scouting for Girls and East 17 taking to the stage in 2018.

As well as live music, the annual NRT Fest hosts a funfair with various rides suitable for all the family, as well as a range of food and drinks vans and business and community stalls. All profits from the event go to good causes, community groups and local charities, organisers say. Giving an insight into what people could expect from this year's event, organisers wrote on social media: "NRT Fest is an annual family friendly music festival, organised by the volunteers of Neath Round Table. The event brings original acts from the past to our stage in Cwrt Herbert Playing Fields, Neath, as well as featuring local talent.

"Our headliners are: Friday - Toploader and Dodgy, Saturday - Tinchy Stryder and Blazin' Squad. This is the place to get your 90s and 00s nostalgia fix - these are the original acts - no cover acts here! We will also announce some great support acts soon!

"We will once again welcome a variety of rides onsite from Studt's Funfair, and various other local businesses who operate stalls at the event, and provide sponsorship. All profits from the event go to good causes, community groups, and charities locally."

Further information about support acts and which local business and community organisations will be attending the event will be shared in the coming weeks. But in the meantime, tickets are now on sale.

How much are tickets for NRT Fest 2023 and where can I buy them?

Entrance to the festival on Saturday, July 8, daytime is FREE - this gives you access to the funfair, food and drink vans, business stalls and any daytime entertainment - but you do need to buy a ticket if you wish to stay for the concerts in the evening.

Advance tickets to see the concerts are £12pp (plus booking fee) per evening - or £20pp (plus booking fee) for entrance to both evenings of the festival. Under 6s are free. There will also be a limited number of tickets on the gate each day, priced at £15 per adult - with under 16s able to buy a concessionary rate ticket at the gate for £6 per evening.

Organisers said: "NRT Fest Tickets are on sale! We are delighted to again offer a discounted Weekend Ticket - giving entry to both evenings, with four headliners - for just £20! Alternatively, individual tickets can be bought in advance for £12 per evening.

"We have worked hard to keep pricing as low as possible for a great community event, with fantastic entertainment. All profits go to local good causes, community groups and charities. Remember to add both evenings to your basket to automatically get the Weekend discount.

"Some important points: Under 16s tickets are only available at the gate and are £6, Under 6s are free throughout the event,

- Saturday daytime is a Family Fun Day, in association with Studt's Fun Fair. Offering free entry to all, enabling you to enjoy the rides and any entertainment on stage during the daytime on Saturday - more info to follow on this soon!
- Weekend tickets are only available in advance (add both evenings to your basket and the discount is automatically applied)
- There will be limited tickets (for over 16s) available at the gate, these will be priced at £15 per evening, but we would encourage you to buy in advance to save money, and secure your place
