Topless man spotted making a splash in Nottingham's Old Market Square fountains

A topless man stopped shoppers in their tracks in the city centre when he appeared to be dancing in the fountains in Old Market Square.

The man was seen in the fountains at around 5pm on September 2.

Police were in attendance and told Nottinghamshire Live they were not going to arrest him, but would move him on.

A number of people stopped to watch the man as he marched along the fountains in the water and made loud noises.

Nottinghamshire Police said they were not going to arrest him as "he has just had too much to drink" but were monitoring him on CCTV from their control room.

Members of the public had gathered to watch the events unfold as the man marched up and down, with some filming it on their phones.
