Top team revealed for new Birmingham restaurant and more appointments news

A new Birmingham restaurant set to open in December has unveiled its top team.

Chapter, in Edgbaston, has recruited Sam Greenaway as senior sous chef who will work under chef director Ben Ternent and head chef Nathan Swift.

They will be joined by restaurant manager Ana Chiriac and bar manager Karina Koleva.

The team behind former city centre restaurant Opus announced in August that it was planning the new venture after they chose not to reopen their previous site in Cornwall Street following the lengthy period of lockdown brought on by the pandemic.

Owner Irene Allan said: "We have worked hard to ensure that we have a good mix of experience and skills joining the Chapter team and we are keen to develop them further.

"With Ben and Nathan at the helm and being able to support the new talent joining us, we know this is going to be a recipe for success when our doors open in December."

Another new night-time venue in Birmingham has appointed its top team ahead of its launch next month. Albert's Schloss is due to open in Chamberlain Square on December 6.

It has recruited general manager Adin Memetovic, sales and events manager Eleni Constantinou, head chef Jack Cinense and entertainment manager Nathanial Valentino.

Mr Memetovic joins the venue from Bank Restaurant in Brindleyplace while Ms Constantinou was most recently at Gino D'Acampo My Restaurant in Birmingham where she was also sales and events manager.

Mr Cinense joins from Gusto Italian where he was head chef and Mr Valentino completes the line up following two years with Wild Events in Manchester.

Albert's Schloss will operate three bars over two floors and have an outside terrace.

She has an extensive network across the Midlands, having worked in the region throughout her career, and has particular expertise in the automotive sector.
