Lockdown saw more people turning to online shopping for their goods and groceries and the top UK retailer with the best online deals has been announced.
A survey investigated the best deals online with a range of companies, including supermarkets, phone companies and beauty shops.
Household favourite, Tesco, has taken the crown with having the best discounts across products.
Asda wasn't far behind, according to a survey created by Coupon Hunt where the team sieved through hotdeals.co.uk to find out which retailer had the best deals.
Tesco grabbed the top spot with an average discount of 39.86% and Asda coming in with 39.05%.
Beer was the most popular discounted item from both supermarkets.
The team at Coupon Hunt also highlighted that Vodafone offered an impressive range of deals with 585 item listings and most shoppers were attracted to their discounted phone contracts.
To calculate a score, CouponHunt.org analysed each retailer’s number of listings, average temperature score (a voting system with over 100 meaning a hot deal), and the average discount provided.
In terms of segmented sectors, Tesco has the best deals for supermarkets, Superdrug for health and beauty, PlayStation Store for electronics, Screwfix for garden and DIY, Starbucks Coffee for takeaway, and TK Maxx for fashion.
It might be worth looking around at different broadband providers as BT Broadband was highlighted for having the worst online deals with just an average discount of 15.56%.
